Hey Chad,
Very nice flash animation! How long have you been using the program? I love the program but have not had the time to create any cool animation yet. I'm still learning the program. I know that you use "Mirage" also for animation, which program do you prefer to work with and why? Can you export .swf files from "Mirage?"
Thanks! I screwed up one of his feet slipping behind a pantleg on one leg though..
I've been using flash since it was "Splash" or version 1.0
The thing that really helped, though, was working with a group of talented Flash animators at Flying Rhinoceros in Portland, on a bunch of web cartoons back in 2000.
I do use Bauhaus Mirage, (www.bauhaussoftware.com) -and it does not export flash files as of yet. It's all bitmap based, and therefore good for a lot of things flash just can't do, style wise. I'll be making some demo videos for Mirage, as I'm a beta tester of the program. I suggest you download the free trial and check it out, also join their forums to ask questions. The light table has to be seen to be believed. No program out there for cel animation has matched it.

Thanks for the information, I can' t wait to see the demo videos you are working on for Mirage. Have you ever thought about doing a complete training CD or DVD on using Mirage? I know, I would purchase it because I am a visual learner.
