  • Hiya Chad of KiloChaddington!

How did ye do that? Mirage? Moho? What’s going on with that little hat there yo!!

Dammit! I need to be in Portland animating and drawing and drinking coffee with you!! GROOT!! @#@!

  • Hey thanks for the kind words.. it is indeed a computer-y trick. Are you SURE you’d rather be in Portland drinking coffee and drawing cartoons? The pay is.. er. well..

I drew the face and hat in Macromedia Flash MX, (zoomed in to do that fine crosshatching etc on the hat) – did the hat on a 2nd layer, then seperated everything pretty far apart..
Exported it as an adobe illustrator file.. then imported it into .. MOHO! (www.lostmarble.com – free trial available) You can then add bones to your vector or (!) bitmap artwork, and tween things around. Then you can add in automatic torque, springiness.. etc. Really fun, and amazing results!
They have a full easy help guide and forums to help out anyone just learning.
It is mesmerising when you get it just right..
    *worgle worgle worgle!*
