Biff! Pow! Zot!

..making the final round of changes to a short commercial about our friend Vitamin D.

Here he is, in a pencil test, knocking out a gang of unruly bacteria. When I get time and permission, I’ll post the final cartoon. It’s about a minute and a half long.

I thought I’d share this discovery of mine with my fellow potentially virii-ridden windows users out there.. and this is not a paid advertisment, just my personal endorsement!

Benefits of the Isolated Sandbox

Sandboxie runs your programs in an isolated space which prevents them from making permanent changes to other programs and data in your computer.

  • Secure Web Browsing: Running your Web browser under the protection of Sandboxie means that all malicious software downloaded by the browser is trapped in the sandbox and can be discarded trivially.
  • Enhanced Privacy: Browsing history, cookies, and cached temporary files collected while Web browsing stay in the sandbox and don’t leak into Windows.
  • Windows Stays Lean: Prevent wear-and-tear in Windows by installing software into an isolated sandbox.

I personally use this to create a single sandboxed version of Firefox, to run specifically for banking. Really, this program is great for any unknown program that you don’t trust. Sandboxie is a fantastic gem that will keep my system secure and smooth without running any whole virtual operating systems ala vmware.

Check it out!
