I'm still reeling from the stunningly unimpressive Flash 8. Perhaps it's best that it's now in the hands of Adobe...
Although our pals at Adobe sure are good at producing bloatware of the highest order.. so then again..
Seriously folks, wasn't Flash 8 supposed to "pay attention to the needs of animators"? I'm really hoping that Microsoft's Sparkle is useful as a broadcast animation tool. It claims 3d object support, and a 3d camera, among other things. Hopefully the best of Livingcels, and Flash combined. Flash 8's "improved" brush tool for instance, -smooths your lines out so much, that you completely lose the originally intended line you were trying to make. Bye bye line quality and fidelity...
Sigh. Waiting to try Sparkle...
How about putting me on the beta Sparkle team, Microsoft?

(image drawn with the brush tool in Flash MX, thank you very much)
*Phew!* Upgraded to the latest Moveable Type software for the sketchblog..
Things were shaky there for a minute or two..

(Barking dog / lighting effects animated in Bauhaus Mirage 1.5.)
